10 people killed in a building collapse in Mumbai

10 people, including two children, have been killed after a three-storey building collapsed in Mumbra on the outskirts of Mumbai. A further 14 people have been rescued from under the debris.
The 35-year-old building was home to nine families.

Personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the fire brigade and local police were all engaged in search and rescue operations.

The incident comes two months after another building had collapsed in Mumbra, killing over 70 people. One week ago one person was killed and four others were injured when a portion of a residential building collapsed in Mahim, Mumbai.
