Albanian police seize more than 10 tonnes of marijuana in a major operation against cannabis growers in the small village of Lazarat.
Police and locals were hurt in an exchange of gunfire when police began raids on Saturday.
Lazarat producers an estimated 900 tonnes of cannabis a year, worth 4.5 billion euros which is the equivalent to almost half of Albania's GDP.
Thousands of people are employed in the village's drug trade which as has been beyond government control since the late 1990s.
